Enjoy the beauty of Big Lake from the water!
Big Lake offers beautiful beaches, parks and recreation but not everyone has a way to get "out on the water" or throughout the parks to cover large areas of ground! FLOATERS gives everyone equal chance to get wet and soak up the sun with a leisurely paddle in a Kayak or on a Paddleboard, you can even hit the lake for a few hours of fishing from a tailor made fishing kayak. Not interested in watersports? We have tandem bikes that can get you around the paved paths and sidewalks in the parks or to some of our great Big Lake amenities like ice cream, burgers, beer or shopping.
Rentals are by the hour but can be rented for 1/2 or full days- what better way to take in the scenery of what gave our town its name?
Just to note- Big Lake Beach has a $5 parking fee for a single vehicle- this fee helps keep our beach and parks beautiful!

Life Jackets

Life Jackets come complimentary with every rental. The safety of our guests is a top priority! We have adult sizes- in two varieties- and several child sizes available. Child sizes are limited so if your youngster has their own life jacket, we recommend bringing it to ensure the best fit.

Parking

Big Lake, Lakeside Park, has a $5.00 parking fee daily. Pay Kiosk is on the northeast side of the parking lot. Big Lake residents can purchase a seasonal pass for $10.00, non-residents can purchase a seasonal pass for $30.00. Seasonal Permits can be purchased at City Hall, Lake Liquors or online.

Are We Open?

FLOATERS is very weather dependent, if it is raining, windy or cold we may decide not to open or vary our normal hours. If you want to ensure hours before making the trip please call or text 320.293.8731.

Accessories

With every rental you have full access to dry bags, anchors and fishing nets, free of charge.

Helmets

Helmets are complimentary for reach tandem bicycle rental. We have adult and child sizes. Bikes are adjustable for different height guests to make your experience just right!

KAYAK RENTALS

Sit on, sit in and tandem Kayaks are available for rent. Kayak rentals are by the hour but available for 1/2 and full days. Pricing is variable.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

FUN is important but safety is, too. All rentals will require patrons to follow specific guidelines- please read before renting. The following waiver must be signed by each person that will be using a kayak or paddleboard.
