Rental Concierge Job Description
FLOATERS Recreational Rentals, LLC encourages an active lifestyle by offering Bicycle, Kayak and
Paddleboard rentals at Lakeside Park in Big Lake, MN. FLOATERS gives everyone equal opportunity to get out on the water and enjoy the lake all summer long with affordable rentals.
Our goal is to foster a relationship between lake comers and the beautiful local parks by offering more activity while visiting our community. We strive to create genuine rapport with other local businesses by bringing a creative way to compliment what already exists in town.
The Rental Concierge at FLOATERS will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that guests might face with accuracy and efficiency.
The Rental Concierge should exhibit a genuinely excited attitude to help FLOATERS guests.
They are patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They love to talk and understand the value of good communication skills. Rental Concierges can put themselves in their guests’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Guest feedback is priceless, and our Rental Concierges will gather that information and feedback and share with supervisors as needed. Problem solving should be a top priority, troubleshooting and investigating information may be necessary to answer guest questions or resolve complaints.
The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to guest inquiries and maintain high \guest satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep records of guest interactions, process guest rentals and file documents
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
- Take the extra mile to engage guests
- Manage guest complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within appropriate time limits; follow up to ensure resolution as needed
- Encourage reviews on social media from guests
- Take photos of guests enjoying their rentals
- Greet guests and potential guests, share information about a FLOATERS rental opportunities and answer inquiries
- Maintain rental returns checking for damages and equipment being brought back in its entirety (including any additional equipment used- lifejackets, nets, anchors, paddles)
- Assist guests in getting rentals to and from the beach area
- Manage sales of rentals and merchandise
Work Hours
- Seasonal
- Flexible, various hours
- Rotating weekends
Uniform
- All staff must be in FLOATERS apparel for each shift
- Comfortable and secure footwear is required
- Employees should always be aware of personal hygiene and proper personal appearance
Skills/ Qualifications
- Familiarity with Square for managing rentals
- Guest orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of guests
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Outgoing, personable interactions
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Must be 16 years of age or older
Physical Requirements
- Lifting, carrying and bending are pertinent to this position
- Frequent lifting or moving equipment weighing between 35 lbs. and 70 lbs.
- Consistently works in outdoor conditions, heat or humidity may be present. FLOATERS building is shaded but not equipped with air conditioning
